Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
Services
Sikich Web Design provides web design, development, and related services for local businesses. Services include:
- Website design and development
- Hosting and maintenance (optional)
- SEO optimization
- Logo design (optional)
Project Process
- Quote: We provide a clear, written quote with no hidden fees
- Deposit: 50% deposit required to begin work
- Development: We build your website according to agreed specifications
- Revisions: Two rounds of revisions included
- Final Payment: Remaining 50% due before launch
- Delivery: Website files and access transferred upon full payment
Payment Terms
- 50% deposit due upfront
- Remaining 50% due before website launch
- Payments accepted via Stripe (credit/debit card)
- Late payments may incur a 10% monthly fee
- Refunds: Deposit is non-refundable once work begins
Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide content, images, and information in a timely manner
- Respond to requests for feedback within 3 business days
- Ensure all provided content is original or properly licensed
- Pay invoices on time
Note: Delays caused by late content delivery may extend project timelines.
Ownership and Rights
Upon full payment:
- You own the completed website and all custom code we create
- You own all domain names registered on your behalf
- Third-party assets (fonts, libraries, frameworks) remain under their respective licenses
- We retain the right to display your project in our portfolio
Revisions and Changes
- Two rounds of revisions included in all packages
- Additional revisions billed at $50/hour
- Major scope changes may require a new quote
- Post-launch changes billed at $50/hour (or included in maintenance plan)
Hosting and Maintenance
If you choose our hosting/maintenance services, terms are month-to-month with no long-term contract. Cancellation requires 30 days notice. We will provide a full backup of your website upon cancellation.
Warranties and Disclaimers
We guarantee that your website will function as specified at the time of delivery. However:
- We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings
- We are not responsible for third-party service outages
- Website performance depends on your hosting provider
- Browser compatibility is limited to current versions of major browsers
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. In the event of termination:
- Client receives work completed to date
- Client is billed for work completed (minimum 50% deposit is non-refundable)
- All project files are delivered upon full payment
